Our Mission

The Classroom Project is a non-profit organization and our mission is to improve the quality of early childhood environments by advocating for and boosting the morale of early childhood professionals. Early childhood education is an underfunded industry and many teachers are forced to spend their own money to purchase classroom supplies. Studies have shown that teachers are spending at least $500 per year on classroom supplies, yet the annual salary of an early childhood professional is $35,000. Through our Classroom Enhancement Program, we hope to fill each classroom with the necessary tools teachers need to run a well-rounded classroom.

We believe that happy teachers create happy classrooms. Through this platform, we hope to provide happiness in each and every classroom.

The Classroom Project is a fiscally sponsored project of The Federation of Neighborhood Centers which is an exempt organization as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Classroom Enhancement Program

Children are eager to learn as much as they can very early in life.  It is up to teachers to fuel curiosity with as many experiences as possible. Unfortunately, they lack the support and supplies to do so. In fact, teachers often spend as much as $500 a year on supplies for their classrooms. This grant provides teachers with funding so they can focus on providing quality learning experiences without spending their own salary on those supplies.

When teachers are supported, they can better support the needs of their students.
